The girdle bug has become a White River staple.  With it being a much meatier option than a smaller nymph, it has a tendancy to pull in bites from brown trout.  In higher flows, drop it below a hopper and pound the banks.  In more mid level flows, fish it under an indicator with a midge or sowbug dropped behind it.
